David Cameron launches ToryTube

Tory leader David Cameron is trying to connect with the YouTube generation with his new video blog.

Rather than just start a channel on YouTube, though, Cameron has set up his own dedicated site to allow him to talk directly with the public.

Webcameron - do you see what he did there? - features not just his own blog and video messages, but will also host contributions from guests and the public at large. Cos that’s not open to abuse…

A short video introducing the site shows Cameron washing up at the sink, while being harangued by a screaming child. See what a man about the house he is? Obviously I’d never imply this was stage managed in any way. Strange that the child in question doesn’t make an onscreen appearance, though…
