Metro: new iPod nano supports HD video. Really? You think?
From yesterday’s Metro:
Rainbow: New iPod nanos are displayed at Apple’s conference in San Francisco yesterday. Boss Steve Jobs announced new iPods would be the first to be able to play high-definition video - for £57 extra.
Three parts FAIL:
1) There wasn’t a conference, it was just press event. Bonus FAIL: “are displayed … yesterday”?
2) Full 1080p 1,920×1,080 pixel high def video might be ever so slightly wasted on a 2in 320×240 resolution screen. Are you sure you’re not confusing this with iTunes 8, which now supports HD TV downloads. In the US, only.
3) It’s not £57 extra. The old nanos were £99 (4GB) and £129 (8GB). The new ones have twice the capacity - £109 (8GB), £149 (16GB). If anything, it’s £20 cheaper.
3/10 MUST TRY HARDER
